Heads-up from Scott

Skrevet af  Christian Krause
Wow my first blog for the trip!!  Its all come together since I agreed to help my friend Christian Krause when he asked me to do thiss a couple of years ago.  Since then I went to Iraq and Afghanistan returning in time to join everybody in Oceanside, Ca It has beeb great meeting everybody and learning who was going to do all the work (crew) and the other members who be saying "what did I get myself into" (racers) as they pedal through the heat and high altitudes.   I am one of two Americans on the team and it has been fun learning to speak more danish again and even harder listening to it.  Enough of this touchy soft stuff.  We started off the race to a good start and I have seen some amazing scenery in the states that I have not seen before.  And seeing CK pedal down the hills at 50 mph is cool.  My job is driving a support vehicle along with helping the racers get set up to start their ride.  Its exciting to see them mount up and take off into the night or climb some hill lin the mountains.  They are putting in some tuff miles.  Everynow and then I have to throw the 'man up' line.  But they are doing great!! My vehicle team is great with Chris and Kenneth rounding out the vehicle crew.  We all like to joke and throw the smack down to all in the vehicle known  by its callsign "Loser Cruiser"   So, we have had no showers, no shave and nobody cares there is no stopping because the clock keeps ticking.  We can all rest in Annapolis   We are in Alomosa, Colorado and just got some Taco Bell - yummy!!  I hope to get some more great pics and to keep throwing smack at the other vehicle team on the radio.  This is a kick ass trip so far and i dont see it changing.  We are red - we are white - we are danish dynamite!! Thanks to min sexet kone and my friends in California for thier support!!! Scott Nichols

Godt gået gutter. Der er dog en del miles endnu og jeg håber, at I kan få rystet holdene foran jer, så I kommer lidt tættere på jeres meget ambitiøse målsætning om en topplacering.
Giv den gas det sidste stykke vej..!!

Nice to hear from you, Scott. When I saw the picture of You and CK I wish I could be there.

What You write is exactly how I thought it would be with You on the team over there - AWESOME!

    Keep everybody safe!

Fantastic guys! And remember "Pain is just weakness leaving your body"...as Christian Krause told us all, when we were heading for Paris in 2009 ;-)
